Rep. Ocasio-Cortez and Rep. Jesús "Chuy" García sent a letter to SEC Chairman Jay Clayton on Sept. 17, saying that Palantir ought to disclose information that presents "material risks" before listing.
Specifically, they highlighted questions around how large a stake In-Q-Tel, the CIA's VC arm, has in Palantir; the contracts it may have with foreign governments that could present "human rights risks"; its corporate governance structure; and data security.
"We respectfully request that the Commission consider gathering additional information from Palantir on the aforementioned matters before its public listing," they write.
The letter was disclosed to reporters just hours before Palantir is scheduled to list.
