TikTok parent company ByteDance is reorganizing, and as part of the corporate shuffle Chief Finance Officer Shou Zi Chew is stepping down from his role to focus on running TikTok as its chief executive full time. Chew has been doing double duty since his appointment to CFO earlier this year.
As part of the announcement, ByteDance said it would be reorganizing into six business units. The company did not announce a replacement for Chew, though the finance department is now expected to report to ByteDance CEO Liang Rubo, who took over from company founder Zhang Yiming.
