"Well over" 40,000 people attended the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas this week, according to preliminary numbers released by the Consumer Technology Association on Friday afternoon. Back in 2020, CES attracted 171,000 attendees.
This year's show included 2,300 exhibitors, according to the CTA, which also counted 2,300 members of the media in Las Vegas. In 2020, CES had around 4,400 exhibitors as well as 6,500 media attendees.
It's worth noting that there is a direct connection between exhibitors and attendees: In 2020, more than 30% of attendees were staffers manning booths.
