President Trump announced in a tweet Tuesday night that the head of the Department of Homeland Security's Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency, Christopher Krebs, has been fired.
Trump cited what he called "massive improprieties and fraud" regarding the 2020 election as reasons for Krebs' termination. There has been no evidence of massive improprieties or fraud.
"Honored to serve. We did it right. Defend Today, Secure [Tomorrow]. #Protect2020," Krebs tweeted in response.
Krebs had told people close to him last week that he expected to be fired.
