Genesys hires execs from rivals Salesforce, Twilio and Microsoft

Competition in the call center industry is red-hot as providers of all stripes see a role in transforming customer service.

The new additions highlight CEO Tony Bates' focus on the cloud, as well as the importance AI will play in the company's future as competitors line-up to try to topple the legacy provider.


The hires include:

  • Brett Weigl as senior vice president of product management for digital and AI. Weigl was previously the vice president of product management at Salesforce.
  • Amy Roberge as vice president of technical solutions engineering for multicloud. Roberge was previously the director of contact center sales engineering at Twilio.
  • Liam McDwyer as vice president of commercial operations for digital and AI. McDwyer was previously a director of customer success at Microsoft.
  • Alex Bon as head of investor relations. Bon was previously the senior manager for investor relations at Salesforce.
