Sens. Josh Hawley and Richard Blumenthal wrote to Attorney General William Barr about his department's ongoing inquiries.
Hawley and Blumenthal want the Justice Department to "ensure that its investigation into Google's anticompetitive practices includes online search," and not just focus on its advertising business.
The senators say that Google's ad dominance stems from its search dominance, requiring both to be investigated, adding that "there is ample evidence that Google has a history of producing biased search results that discriminate against its competitors."
