Klarna is reportedly close to raising new funding that would boost the buy-now-pay-later company's valuation to more than $40 billion.
The round includes an investment from SoftBank, according to reports from CNBC and Business Insider.
The reported funding reflects the momentum of the Swedish fintech which just raised $1 billion in funding in March at a valuation of $31 billion. The investment also underscores the growth of the "buy now, pay later" industry which also recently got a boost from the successful IPO of Affirm in January.
