Artist Beeple just sold his first physical piece of art, with an accompanying NFT, for $28.9 million. The artwork sold at a Christie's auction in New York City on Tuesday night. Beeple, otherwise known as Mike Winkelmann, sold his "Everydays" NFT for $69 million in March.
The piece is called "HUMAN ONE" and depicts a 3D human figure with an astronaut helmet walking through shifting landscapes projected in a box. It's accessed through the Ethereum blockchain. It sold in under three minutes, going to Ryan Zurrer for a price of $25 million without auctioneer fees and taxes.
