PayPal said Tuesday it will start letting users make payments using Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies.
The company said its new Checkout with Crypto feature will make it possible for customers to convert their crypto assets, including Bitcoin, Litecoin, Ethereum or Bitcoin Cash, into fiat currencies when they make a purchase at millions of its online merchants.
"Enabling cryptocurrencies to make purchases at businesses around the world is the next chapter in driving the ubiquity and mass acceptance of digital currencies," PayPal CEO Dan Schulman said in a statement.
