Pinterest will pay $22.5 million to its former COO, Françoise Brougher, to settle her gender discrimination and retaliation lawsuit, the company stated in an SEC filing.
As part of the deal, $2.5 million of the $22.5 million will be donated to charity. Brougher's lawsuit came after two former Pinterest employees, Ifeoma Ozoma and Aerica Shimizu Banks, spoke out about their experience with racism and sexism at the company. The company is now facing a shareholder lawsuit over their claims.
