The Senate Commerce Committee on Thursday voted unanimously to subpoena Jack Dorsey, Sundar Pichai and Mark Zuckerberg to testify about Section 230. The Democrats on the committee voted in favor of the subpoenas after Republicans agreed to allow questions about privacy and disinformation as well as alleged anti-conservative bias on the platforms.
The White House has been pressing Senate Republicans to intensify their public scrutiny of the Big Tech platforms ahead of the November elections, according to Politico.
