You might not be able to fly internationally, but for a price, you can fly to space this summer. Jeff Bezos's Blue Origin is offering an auctioned seat on its first crewed astronaut mission to space.
Sealed online bidding for a seat on Blue Origin's New Shepard will begin mid-May, and the auction will conclude with a live finale on June 12. The winning bid will be donated to the Blue Origin foundation, to help support pathways to careers in STEM.
Aside from a few Russian missions, space tourism has yet to become a reality, making Bezos's Blue Origin the first company to actually set a date to take paying customers to space.
