Twitter locked President Trump's account after demanding that he remove three of his tweets on Wednesday amid violence on Capitol Hill.
"The account of @realDonaldTrump will be locked for 12 hours following the removal of these Tweets," Twitter said in a thread. "If the Tweets are not removed, the account will remain locked."
And, amid calls to suspend Trump's account over his incitements to violence, Twitter hinted he could be removed from the site entirely if he doesn't let up. "Future violations of the Twitter Rules, including our Civic Integrity or Violent Threats policies, will result in permanent suspension of the @realDonaldTrump account," Twitter said.
