Visa has agreed to buy cross-border payments company Currencycloud in a deal valuing the company at $962 million. Visa previously led a funding round in the company in 2020.
Currencycloud's software for banks and other financial companies helps them provide cross-border payments. The London startup has raised about $188 million from investors including Sapphire, GV, Accomplice, Goldman Sachs and Anthemis Group, per PitchBook.
Visa recently bought Tink, a Swedish open-banking tech company, for $2.2 billion.
