In its first transparency report, Pornhub said 653,465 pieces of content were removed for violating its guidelines. Roughly 544,000 were removed for DMCA violations, while others were removed for infractions such as featuring minors, hate speech, violent content or incest.
Pornhub submitted 4,171 unique reports to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, and received 1,081 legal removal requests worldwide.
In December, Visa and Mastercard suspended payment processing for Pornhub in response to a New York Times article that alleged the site featured significant amounts of child porn. The companies didn't immediately respond to Vice's inquiry as to whether that policy has changed in light of the new report.
