The EU has a new proposal for regulating AI and data.
The European Commission has published a new set of "ideas and actions for a digital transformation."
It hopes that the initiative, which includes a framework for trustworthy artificial intelligence and a new data strategy, "opens up new opportunities for businesses, and boosts the development of trustworthy technology."
These are currently just proposals, and it could be years before they become rules, if they ever do. But expect them to have an impact — much like how GDPR has become a widely imitated framework for privacy around the world.
