Twitter won't reinstate Laura Loomer's account
Even after she won a GOP primary in Florida this week.
Twitter says it will not reinstate the account of Laura Loomer, the right-wing media personality who was suspended from the platform earlier this year – even after she won a GOP primary in Florida this week.
A Twitter spokesperson said the company does not plan to reverse its decision even as she runs her congressional campaign. Loomer's campaign is a long-shot in a heavily Democratic district.
"The account owner you referenced was permanently suspended for repeated violations of the Twitter Rules, and we do not plan to reverse that enforcement action," a Twitter spokesperson told Protocol.
Loomer was banned from Twitter in November 2018 after she tweeted bigoted comments about Rep. Ilhan Omar, one of the two first Muslim women to be elected to Congress.
