Within the next two weeks, Uber and Lyft will begin promoting free rides to tens of thousands of vaccination sites in the United States, as part of the White House's push to ensure that 70% of Americans have received at least one shot of the COVID-19 vaccine by July 4.
"People will be able to simply select a vaccination site near them, follow simple directions to redeem their ride, and then get a ride to take them to and from a nearby vaccination site free of charge," the White House explained in a fact sheet Tuesday.
